There've been a few people who talked to me about how they liked this server better when it was smaller.
I'm in your field and rooting for everyone, yes, but I want to also explain why I'm not moderating that or really taking any measure at limiting it, beyond like... 'artists only.'
As a miniature history, the chat here used to be an unruly group of about thirty or less people, just individuals occasionally inviting a single friend every once in a while for about a half year. That changed, in my head, specifically when Zalia and Null joined the server, when we really started inviting people who I'd yet to meet at all. I think that's when I started hearing that things were better before.
Which! To be fair, is a sound argument, at least to the extent that the server was pleasant and the only memories you have are good, meaning that now that there's also a little social anxiety it feels a whole lot worse. But I'm also going to point out that those were the days that this server remained pretty much abandoned until Sunday every week for Group A, with a spike of activity for an hour and then nothing.
I personally think it's better now. Like, acclaim a Tragedy Of The Commons as often as you can, but to me that conversation only makes sense in the context of a limited resource. We're growing at the hips and if we'd stopped I wouldn't have met some of my now-favorite people-- and it was already hard to choose. In my head, I'm making more friends and would be sabotaging would-be new ones by limiting it.
I still don't know what we'll do about drama for when it DOES crop up, but we're a lil overdue for SOMETHING. Nobody outright obnoxious has joined yet, nobody conniving or manipulative or if they have joined maybe our vibes have quashed theirs. I dunno! I guess I'm more just waiting for something to go wrong before I think something IS wrong.
Still, comment thoughts and hot-takes in #server-discussion, I don't want to be in an echo chamber. If nothing else, I just wanted to air out the topic for everyone that was thinking it. (edited)

Well now you can be, literally sometimes. I could draw you with as much swag as exudes from my sweat glands constantly, and in trade, all you gotta do is draw me even cooler. 
I'm phrasing all this like an advertisement but in reality all you're really gonna be doing is participating in our #art-trades channel-- it's new, it's hip, it's funky with the kids on the block, and nobody is allowed to take it seriously. For realsies. You're gonna get art that looks like the art channel icon and it's gonna be rad as hell.
Like still do your best, it's all gonna be learning experience here and all we really care about is motivating you to draw. If seeing Missile draw you in a gimp mask and drawing Missile in Minecraft is what gets you to do that, perfect. There's no drama here, so if you put enough expectations on it that you could be disappointed, you're using the channel wrong.

ARTY but I couldn't so then we went back and forth for like a week now and have no idea so Azserfy co-opted it and is using it aa a way to beg for the release of Silksong I think but if anyone has any ideas please put them in chat we're terrible at pretty much everything thanks
